Naruto: Shippūden: the Movie (NARUTO Gekijōban Naruto Shippūden), is a 2007 film directed by Hajime Kamegaki and written by Junki Takegami. It is the fourth movie in the Naruto movie series. It was released on DVD in Japan on April 23, 2008 and on DVD in the US on November 10, 2009. It was announced that the US DVD could be pre-ordered along with the limited edition of Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 before its release. Naruto Shippūden 2: Bonds (NARUTO Gekijōban Naruto Shippūden: Kizuna?)[2] is the fifth overall Naruto film, and is the second Naruto: Shippūden film. It was released on August 2, 2008. The movie was announced in Weekly Shonen Jump along with the DVD release date for the first Shippūden movie. Additionally, the teaser trailer for the second movie was aired with Naruto: Shippūden episode(s) 40-41, and again with episode 66-67. In episodes 70-73 the opening sequence was replaced with footage from the movie. The English Dub version of the movie will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 25, 2011 in America.[1].
